You can make your first visit a little easier, by registering your kids in advance.  On Sunday, when you visit our Kids Check-in system, our Kids team will confirm your registration and guide you to the appropriate room.

Meet the Leander team.

Michael Norman

Lead Pastor
Joining Glad Tidings in 2018, Pastor Michael encourages people to live out the church's mission to declare hope and develop people. He has an M.A. in Religion, and he is ordained in the Assemblies of God.

Adam Haugen

Campus Pastor
Pastor Adam moved to Leander in 2021 from Cold Spring, MN.  He has been in ministry since 2008, and has in M.A. in Strategic Leadership, and he is ordained in the Assemblies of God.

Dr. Amber Haugen

Executive Pastor
Pastor Amber moved to Leander in 2021. She has been in ministry since 1999 and holds an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. And in 2023, she received her PhD in Bible Exposition. She loves helping people grow in their faith, and she is ordained in the Assemblies of God.

Zach Nyberg

Youth Director
Zach moved to Leander from Clearwater, MN also in 2021, shortly after Pastors Adam & Amber.  He served as an intern for a year, and then joining full-time, overseeing our youth ministry at Glad Tidings.

Savannah Nyberg

Worship Director
Savannah moved to Austin in January of 2022 from Powhatan, Virginia. She served as an intern for a year, and then joined the staff of Glad Tidings Church as the Worship Director at our Central Austin location.  She joined the Leander team in January 2024.

Hillarie Markfort

Kids Pastor
Hillarie moved to Austin in January of 2024 and grew up in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. She lived in Kirkland, WA for three and a half years while earning her B.A. in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies. She loves to see kids experience God in a personal way and live out what they have learned in their everyday lives.
